Traditional couples' therapy models are outdated

When you think back to when you first got into your relationship, you were doing things with and and saying things about and to each other that created a feeling of love, safety and intimacy  

 

Over time, intimacy fades, resentment builds, and you wonder if your relationship might be broken, or if there is something wrong with you, your partner, your relationship or all three!

Our relationships are important - in fact, your intimate relationship is one of the most important relationships you will ever have.  I would assert that our intimate relationships are an opportunity to overcome patterns and traumas from the past - and doing it together is the most powerful way.

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

Many couples believe that improving their communication, and even having someone to meditate their arguments is the first step to improving their relationship.

It feels hard, heavy and there is often a fear of change and the work that will be required. But not changing and growing will get you the same as you have had, and the continued downhill slide into loneliness, separation, feeling unloved, unheard and ultimately wondering if the relationship will survive (or the final step - separation/ divorce) 

The truth is, the traditional models for improving your relationship don't work.  

Trying to resolve conflict and shift your communication starts with feeling more connected and appreciated.  When you have that, it is easier to WANT to improve your communication, and to find ways to do that together.  You start working as a team on your challenges, rather than fighting each other.

That's why I created my 21-Day Deeper Connection Challenge

Every day, you will receive a brief email with a simple, daily habit you can build into your relationship in just 10 minutes, to create greater connection and intimacy

You will notice how your closeness grows, and the desire to have more in your relationship, including improved communication is massively impacted.

Not all change and growth is hard and heavy.  Sometimes, it's also fun and playful!
